Campaign for ASU

After decades of dreams and years of effort, the residents of Lake Havasu City and all of Mohave County will have a four-year university. It’s scheduled to open fall of 2012…just a few months from now.

As part of its Colleges @ ASU  initiative, Arizona State University is developing a campus at the Daytona  facility for undergraduate degrees. Enrollment has already started!

Go to http://havasu.asu.edu/  for an enrollment application and to be a part of history. The initial programs to be offered are also on this ASU web page. Help us spread this message and opportunity.

HFHE raised over $2 million in less than six months in a capital campaign for campus renovations and start-up. Click on ASU gift worth a million for an impressive news article.  Clearly, HFHE with nearly 3,000 members and a supportive community, is totally committed to a successful start of our new ASU campus. To reach our goal of raising $2 million for 250 student scholarships by June 2012, we need to  buy analytical essay to research the projects of other organizations and form a brief description of them with statistical data on the number of participants, financial and socio-economic results. For this, we will contact professionals who will prepare an analytical study for us. But we ask you to understand that every contribution, no matter how small, can make a big difference in the lives of diligent students who want to pursue a higher education.

We understand that times are tough, but investing in education is one of the best ways to ensure a brighter future for our community and our country. By providing scholarships to deserving students, we give them the opportunity to realize their dreams and make a positive impact on the world.

We encourage you to contribute to this important cause. Your donation will go directly to helping students at ASU, one of the best universities in the country. Together, we can make a difference and ensure deserving students have the opportunity to pursue higher education and achieve their goals.

The Goal Give Now

Consistent with our commitment and with a sense of urgency, we must raise $1 million for 250 student scholarships by June 2012. June is an important target since most students make decisions on where to attend by that time. We can’t reach this goal without your help. We must help ASU put students in seats for the fall 2012 opening.

Give Now to the Campaign for ASU at Lake Havasu

The Campaign for ASU @Lake Havasu gives you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help build a legacy that will enrich your community and the lives of area residents for generations to come.

ASU will open the new ASU @ Lake Havasu campus fall of 2012, bringing access to and affordability of higher education now and for future generations.  There will be an impressive array of cultural, academic, and athletic opportunities for all residents in the area.

Along with ASU’s high-quality faculty and degree programs, the campus will feature panoramic lake views, restaurants, entertainment, and shops on nearby Main Street. The lake, beaches, boats, and resort hotels are  only a short distance away. Check these impressive amenities at, Visiting Lake Havasu.

In this beautiful world-famous community, ASU will offer its brand of quality education at a lower-cost with a focus on teaching and learning. Tuition and fees are expected to be less than $6,000 a year for Arizona residents. By comparison, tuition and fees for freshmen at ASU’s Tempe campus is $9,720 a year. Moreover, housing costs in Havasu can be as low as $1,107 compared to $5,610 on the Tempe campus for two semesters.

What’s Next?

Since its founding in 2004, the Havasu Foundation for Higher Education has had one goal—to bring a university to Lake Havasu City.  In February 2011, ASU announced that they would move forward with plans for the campus as long as HFHE could raise the money for renovations. We raised $2 million!

Now, we can focus on scholarship fundraising. Your gift to the Campaign for ASU @ Lake Havasu City will help ensure enough students to start classes by fall 2012.

By pledging support of at least $1,000 you will be recognized as a member of the Campaign for ASU @Lake Havasu Founders’ Club– permanent recognition of your role in establishing ASU at Lake Havasu and bringing this world-class university to our area.

On the capital campaign, HFHE received three exceptional gifts of $100,000, $200,000, and $1 million. We think there are donors in Havasu that can match those levels of giving for the scholarship campaign.
